The Ittleson Center RTF program serve emotionally vulnerable youth ages five to 13 who are challenged by trauma-related and psychiatric issues. The RTF provides supervised living units and programs of therapeutic and educational services that emphasize family interaction and strengthening of community support networks.
All treatment team members work to ensure that youth and families drive the focus of their treatment and are full-time partners in their own healing and recovery. The treatment team supports youth and families in developing the skills to keep safe from abuse, neglect and maltreatment, and to foster and strengthen connection to their home and communities. Each team assesses the individual needs of youth, families, and their environments. Clinical programming infused into Milieu Treatment and individualized interventions reflect the program’s commitment to culturally competent practice based on strengths, needs, and feedback. Youth and families have direct input into their treatment as well as program performance and development. We utilize the Trauma Informed Care (TIC) model in conjunction with evidence-based clinical interventions to support youth and family in their healing and recovery.
