Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Teacher who is flexible, dependable, full of energy with a sense of humor and enjoys being outdoor (gardening, park, walks, library). You will be working with children between the ages of 6 weeks through 12 years. We are a home base Day Care that loves going out and exploring our community and doing a variety of activities such as painting, paper mache, tie dye etc.

Responsibilities:

As the Assistant Teacher your responsibilities include creating lesson plans, maintaining a safe and clean environment in and outdoors. Making sure the children are well cared for while teaching hygiene, etiquette and all it takes to survive in our society. Assisting with homework assignments. Working on a possitive and enthusiastic team.

Qualifications:

The Health Department requires that each staff have 30 hours of training every two years as it relates to Early Childhood Development. They include Obesity, Mandated Reporter, SIDS, Safety, Nutrition, Regulations and other topics. Experience with young children would be a plus.
