Staten Island Children's Museum

This is a Museum designed for children to explore.  We have 12 hands-on exhibits that harness children's curiosity and imagination including House About It - a construction site with tools, building materials, a conveyor belt and corkscrew slide,  Pets & People with a veterinary office and animals to care for, Bugs and other Arthropods - with live insects to examine and a floor to ceiling "ant" climber to build their gross motor skills, and Great Explorations where visitors learn about different climates and can experiment with wind current simulation made of pneumatic tubes and valves.   Block Harbor is an exhibit dedicated to babies and toddler with an incredible assortment of soft and hard building blocks, books, puzzles, and a ship to play in.  We have a Walk in! Workshop where we highlight different ways to make art each month.  Also, throughout the year, guest artists and experts visit to guide visitors in cooking, dancing, and science workshops.

We are located in Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanic Garden with plenty of parking and off the S40 bus line.  Please check our website for the current hours and any updates before setting out.>
