Assistant Teacher Infant

Description:

Smithtown daycare seeks a lead teacher for one of our infant classes.  Individual must be nurturing and creative. Individual must be able to multi-task.  Individual must be a team player; able to work together with assistant teachers.  Individual must be willing to change diapers.  Our day care facility has hours from 7:00am until 6:30pm.  Individual must have availability to work shifts within those hours.

Must be trustworthy, reliable, hard-working and professional!

As a Lead Teacher in our program, you would be responsible for, but are not limited to:

1. Creating/implementing developmentally appropriate activities /lessons
2. Creating a daily schedule
3. Changing soiled diapers/clothing
4. Sanitizing toys, cleaning in the daycare area/ Ensure that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
5. Completing all classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, medication administration forms
6. Following strict NYS OCFS regulations
7. Ensuring that all parents, children, and classroom concerns are appropriately addressed.

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.  Applicant must possess maturity, responsibility, reliability, kindness, patience, manners, and have their own transportation.  NYS requires background check, fingerprinting and medical clearance.  CPR/First Aid/Mat certifications are a plus. This job does not offer benefits.
