Kidz Korner is seeking a qualified individual for our After School and Summer Camp Center Director Position! The After School and Summer Camp Program Director manages programs outside of school hours for children. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, reliable, organized, and strong leader who can coach and mentor teachers to create a safe, fun, and educational learning environment for children between the ages of 5 years and 12 years of age. Prior experience director is a plus!

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Ensuring the compliance of NYS OCFS School Age Regulations.

Serving as the "face of the center" and remaining professional, courteous, and approachable to all families and staff.

Developing and overseeing our 10-week Summer Camp Program which includes weekly field trips, on-site programming, outdoor recreational activities, etc.

Has computer knowledge and can use Microsoft Word and Excel.

Recruiting, training, and maintaining quality teachers to serve as educators and role models for the children in our care.

Communicating effectively with parents on a daily basis.

Maintaining staff and child files.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education or a related field, a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential, School Age Care Credential or have a minimum of 18 college credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education or a related field; two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age including one year in a supervisory capacity in a childcare program or related field of work.
