Description:

A growing private, Daycare/PreK seeks NYS certified teachers in early childhood. Our private preschools embrace a loving-kindness philosophy by modeling children to grow happiness through maintaining kindness. We promote play-based learning and help children discover their interests through play, so they become school-ready, career-ready and life-ready.

Responsibilities:

Support the school's vision and class curricular goals
Follow an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
Ensure that classroom equipment is in good repair
Understand and implement The Diki Approach.
Promote healthy eating practices at lunch and snack times
Ensure that children are always within state ratio requirements
Perform nominal cleaning responsibilities (eg, spills) immediately
Perform major cleaning during times when children are not present
Plan lessons and activities.

Qualifications:

- NYS Teacher Certification (0-2)
- Experience in caring & implementing curriculum and activities for preschool-age students.
- Must be aware of generally held expectations for child development
- Must be able to communicate well with parents
- Must have enthusiasm, dedication, and good work ethic
- Must have strong classroom management skills
