Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Programs, the Go!Kids Program Manager oversees all the educational and administrative aspects of the CA Go!Kids, a teacher-led healthy foods and active lifestyle curriculum designed for children, ages 3-5, in Head Start, Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) and other early childhood programs. The Program Manager also oversees the implementation of Go!Kids Cook, a food service staff, education staff, intern and volunteer led, hands-on cooking curriculum for early-childhood students that introduces them to the pleasures of preparing and enjoying nutritious and delicious snacks and reinforces key concepts learned in the CA Go!Kids curriculum.

- Mentor and support early childhood staff throughout the implementation of the CA Go!Kids curriculum.
- Perform site visits and document the progress of implementation of CA Go!Kids and Go!Kids Cook across all early childhood sites.
- Conduct observations of early childhood meal service and meals at all CA Early Childhood sites.
- Interview, place, schedule, supervise and support Go!Kids Cook instructors.
- Design and conduct wellness promotion workshops and train-the-trainer instruction (including research of content from diverse health-related fields) for staff and parents participating in the Early Childhood division.
- Assist and present at Go!Healthy trainings and wellness promotion workshops for staff, volunteers and parents participating in CA programs, as well as with the staff of some partner organizations.
- Administrate petty cash and purchase card accounting for Go!Kids and other Go!Healthy programs.
- Comply with all privacy laws including HIPAA, etc.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in public health promotion, community nutrition, health education and/or wellness coaching.
- Strong program management experience.
- Experience implementing early childhood programming.
- Well versed in early childhood obesity prevention and wellness issues.
- Creative and able to design visually engaging presentations.
- Highly organized and quickly adaptable to change.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and relatable personality.
- Ability to travel citywide to visit sites to conduct observations and provide support.
- Spanish-speaking a plus.
