The New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute is proud to observe the resolution, following Governor Cuomo\u2019s Executive Order, and adopted by the City University of New York yesterday, declaring Friday, June 19, 2020, as a CUNY-wide holiday \u201cin observance of Juneteenth [which] honors the history, perseverance, and achievements of African Americans, and celebrates America\u2019s progress and continuing commitment to realizing the principles of liberty and equality upon which our nation was founded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
