The Institute and QUALITYstarsNY<\/a> are supporting the 2020 Early Childhood Census Campaign. Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, QUALITYstarsNY purchased copies of the WE COUNT! children’s book to send to each participating site to make sure the children and families served by its programs are counted in the 2020 Census. The Institute also purchased copies to send \u00a0to all CUNY childcare centers in support of CUNY\u2019s Census efforts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, we would like to share the online version of the book<\/a>. When this counting book is read aloud children learn how to count and adults learn why and how to ensure each one of us is counted in the 2020 Census. WE COUNT! addresses many concerns that families may have about participating in the Census.\u00a0 The book is available in multiple languages.
