The Latest from IFCC

  • Special Needs Professional Development Series

This series, focused on special education, will enable childcare providers to increase their knowledge of the services and support children with special needs receive during the school day. The series will also include information on the referral process for determining whether a child has special needs, the NYC Department of Education’s Continuum of Services and how to pull information from Individual Family Service Plans(IFSPs) and Individual Education Plan(IEPs) when working with children with special needs. While the series will total 30 hours of professional development for those who attend every session, all providers are welcome to attend their choice of any of the sessions.
