Blake & Milford Preschool Program seeking a Teacher to be part of a team of professionals dedicated to the education of young children. As a team leader, the teacher is responsible for curriculum implementation, the overall supervision and management of a safe, developmentally appropriate preschool classroom, parent involvement, and ensuring compliance with city and state regulatory agencies. Candidates must be extremely motivated, passionate, and capable of multi-tasking. Must have a positive attitude and able to interact with families, parents and children.

- Meeting the individual needs of the children
- Participation in staff and training meetings
- Arrange rooms and furniture to support the development of the children in the classroom
- Understanding of child development and age appropriate activities
- Knowledge of teaching strategies Gold Assessment
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum
- Implementation of activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
- Develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with common core standards
- Modify lesson plans
- Computer literate- ability to input and submit observations into Teaching Strategies GOLD
- Parent and Teacher Conferences Three times per year
- Teach children letters, numbers, shapes, colors and other Preschool requirement
- Conduct monthly family engagement activities
- Conduct morning meeting
- Conduct small groups
- Supervise, evaluate and train teacher assistant and teacher aide on DAP activities
- Understand ERERS & CLASS scoring
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Early Childhood Education (Study Plan Teacher acceptable) working towards Teacher Certification
- Master Degree in Early Childhood Education (Study Plan Teacher acceptable) working towards Teacher Certification
- Master Degree in Early Childhood Education with NYS Teaching Certification Birth to 2nd
- Experience working in a UPK program environment
- Have working experience with children 2 to 6 years of age
- 5 years working in a center
- Fingerprints by DOI and DOE
- State Clearance SCR
- Current Physical Exam with Blood work
