Description:

Centro Civico Neena Rao is a new child care center for children from ages three to five years old. Our future plan is apply for PreK grant with Amsterdam school district so we are looking for a lead preschool teacher with a NYS teacher certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-grade 2) and classroom experience with children ages 3 to 5 years.

Responsibilities:

The teacher need to have knowledge of child development and age appropriate hands on learning activities. The teacher also needs knowledge of positive behavior management techniques and NYS regulations regarding day care programs.The teacher is responsible for developing meaningful relationships with students and staff, maintaining a classroom that is clean, safe, attractive and inviting. Bi-lingual in Spanish/English would be preferred.

Qualifications:

NYS teacher certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-grade 2) and classroom experience with children ages 3 to 5 years or someone who is in the process of completing the requirements.
