Description:

Oversee the day-to-day operation of a culturally-diverse preschool in Briarwood, Queens. We have a Pre-K for All class as well as a 2's class and a 3's class. This is a full-time year-round position.

Responsibilities:

Interface with teachers, students and families

Maintain compliance with Department of Education (PreK for All) and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Supervise a staff of 12 teachers and assistants

Qualifications:

New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth to Grade 2)

Minimum of 2 years experience teaching at the preschool level

Knowledge of NYCDOHMH licensing regulations and FDNY Safety Regulations

Knowledge of Pre-K for All progtrams

Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and/or crisis situations effectively

Computer knowledge a definite plus

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Multi-lingual a plus
