The Expert Coach will support the professional development of classroom teachers, and education directors in their supervisory role.

Responsibilities:

This individual will ensure that the strategy used in Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) meets the need of the program and that the method used is implemented with fidelity to the cyclical process of coaching for supporting teachers’ use of effective teaching practices that lead to positive outcomes for young children. The coach will ensure that the PBC occurs in the context of a collaborative partnership with teachers and education directors. Each component in the cycle will inform the actions taken by the coach throughout the coaching process. The Expert Coach will ensure that expectations and desired outcomes of coaching are regularly reviewed and updated.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in early childhood education;

At least 5-year experience in classroom instruction;

2-year experience in early childhood education supervisory role, preferably with knowledge and experience in coaching practices.
