The Educational Director will provide leadership in child care, curriculum, and educational development for a child care center that services infants through age 6. The position will be responsible for offering quality child care in a fun, educational, and enriching experience for each child.
The Director must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational and time-management skills and must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. In addition, exceptional customer services skills are necessary along with the ability to be proactive in retaining children and staff in the Center.
The Educational Director will be directly responsible for ensuring full implementation of curriculum by teachers throughout center; overseeing staff acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing and hiring; as well as monitoring of all staff to maintain compliance with all company policies, state regulations and our high standards of performance. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, day-to-day center operations, including scheduling, classroom observations, and touring; staff training and reviews; curriculum implementation and assessment; knowledge of all NYC DOH licensing regulations; knowledge of NYC PreK or All; and developing, organizing and conducting family and community events that showcase curriculum and programs.
