Entering our 20^th year, we are one of NYC's upstanding Universal Pre-K programs serving Ditmas Park, Kensington and Midwood, Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. As an independently owned and licensed daycare center, we have afforded over 550 children age three to five years old, a high quality pre-school experience.

Our Full Day UPK classroom provides 18 children with a head start and prepares them for Kindergarten. Currently we have a position open for Lead Teacher/Educational Director from September 2018 – June 2019.

The Lead Teacher will be accompanied by an assistant teacher and reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

Supporting young children in their first group/schooling experience

Providing engaging ways to allow them to grow socially and cognitively

Utilizing curriculum and classroom materials to document student’s progression

Promote literacy by creating a print rich environment

Maintaining open communication with parents/families of children

Daily, weekly and monthly record keeping and submissions to NYC DOE

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Education

NYS Teaching License

7:45AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday

Mandatory professional development days throughout the year

Fluent in Microsoft office and using mobile/productivity devices in the classroom

Experience with ECERS, CLASS and Work Sampling Reporting

NYC DOE Fingerprints
