~We are seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team at The Children’s Learning Center at Hunter college! This individual will help implement age appropriate curriculum for children.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead Teacher in teaching children ranging in age from 2.5 to 4 years through activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Monitor children’s schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Engage with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Assist in implementing curriculum that develops a child’s self-esteem, intellectual stimulation, and social skills
• Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with children, their parents and Lead Teacher
• Communicate with parents on their child’s growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all the children
