Brightside Academy provides early education and care to children 6-weeks- to 12-years-old. Our employees are our greatest asset. We operate 15 schools located in the NY area (Brooklyn and Bronx). We are looking to hire fun, passionate, and reliable staff. Our employees enjoy competitive pay and great benefits! We are seeking to hire Infant/Toddler Lead Teachers, Preschool Lead Teachers, Teacher Assistants and Teacher Aids. 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include maintaining supervision of children to ensure a safe learning environment. Provide developmentally appropriate lessons, engage children’s curiosity and provide a caring, nurturing hygienic environment. Strong communication skills is required with expectations of collaboration with colleagues, managers, directors and our families.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements for Preschool Lead Teaching Staff

  • Bachelors’ degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field plus valid New York Certification or equivalent.
  • Bachelors’ degree in any field plus 30 Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits plus valid New York Certification.
  • Master’s Degree

Minimum Requirements for Lead Infant Teaching Staff

  • Minimum of an Associates’ degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (child development, special education, elementary education or human service field).
  • Minimum of one year classroom experience

Minimum Requirement for Teacher Assistants and Teachers Aid

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
    • Preferably, the assistant teacher will have a high school diploma plus at least 3 Early Childhood Education credits, or a current child development associate (CDA) credential, or an Early Childhood Education or related Associates Degree.

All Positions require the following:

  • Certified in first aid, CPR and mandated reporting.
  • Ability to pass a thorough criminal background check and drug screening.
