The Katmint Learning Initiative is an in-home alternative preschool . Located in the heart of the Bedford-Stuyvesant Area of Brooklyn, NY. We aim to be the proper first steps for Children ages 6 Months to 5 Years. The Katmint Learning Initiative is a community resource with grassroots up bringing that provides a play-based environment for children to thrive. Our facility is open from 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday.

We are currently in search of an immediate full-time Lead Teacher for our newest (ECE) preschool location. The role requires working closely with the school founder. The group teacher will communicate and build strong relationships with families, supervise assistant teachers, implement and develop age appropriate curriculum that meets our philosophy and New York State guidelines.

Responsibilities:

This position is for dedicated teachers that truly have a love to create. The teacher must be energetic, able to take direction well and delegate task. We are looking for someone that can incorporate, add more value to our amazing faculty. You will have the opportunity to inspire young minds, build and enhance the preschool settings for our attending families.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for Lead Teacher:

Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood or Related Field
5 Years of supervised experience in preschool setting
NYS Teacher Certification issued by the State Education Department or Equivalent Certification from another Jurisdiction.
Experience with children ages 2 & Up.
Strong Leadership, Supervisor and Customer Service Skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families
Ability to lead children and take command of a classroom
Prior curriculum creating experience
Strong organizational and communication skill and ability to handle multiple task, delegate and Meet Deadlines
Infant, Adult CPR/ First Aid Certification ( A plus)
Prior Department of Health Training (Health & Safety)
Knowledge of Article 4
